This page explains the third step for members who need access to a club subforum.

Register an account (register.html).
Upload HVS documents for administrator review.
Club authentication through the relevant club secretary.

Why authenticate?

Club subforums include member rosters, meet details, workshop days, event photographs and private club notices. The forum account has to match the person known to the club. See SMP §6.2.

The process, step by step

Authentication procedure

Get admitted to the club itself first. Each club has its own admission process. For M.A.L.A.K.A.S., introduction by an existing member is required; for H.A.R.D.A.N.A.Legends, attendance at the bi-monthly gathering is required; other clubs - see the club secretary.
Send your forum username to the secretary. Use your real name in the message so they can match it to their roster.
The secretary confirms with Lefteris. After that your forum account is marked for that club.
You will receive a forum private message when the club subforum is visible at next login.

Q. I don't have social media. Can I still authenticate?

A. Yes. Speak to the club secretary.

Q. I changed clubs. What happens?

A. Ask the new club secretary to confirm your membership. Old access may be removed at audit.

Q. Can Lefteris do it faster if I know him personally?

A. Ask the secretary. The forum follows the club roster.

Q. What if my club keeps paper records?

A. The secretary emails Lefteris. Old fashioned but it works.

Q. I'm an MBC NSW Inc. member. Does that authenticate me?

A. No. classicmercforum.com.au is not affiliated with the Mercedes-Benz Club of NSW Inc. MBC NSW Inc. membership does not constitute authentication for any club subforum on this website.
