Chasing w108 injectors m130

W108 M130 mechanical injector close-up Bosch stamping DG8C45R2

Photo of one of mine - Bosch stamped DG8C45R2 visible. Two of six are dribbling instead of misting on the test rag. Looking to buy a complete set if anyone has them or knows what to do.

These injectors are a spray until that usually wear out.. they can't be disassembled..

A new set will cost about $1,000.

You could test each in turn by running on 5 cylinders and checking the 6th spraying into a measured glass jar.

You could buy a jewellery ultra sound jewellery cleaner and clean then.

A Chinese (Diesel) injector tester will allow you to reverse flow clean thru the injector the test for crack pressure and spray pattern. That set up would cost about $250.

Patrick is right..

M130 injector with DG8C45R2 is 1968-1972 batch and sealed. pintle, spring and seat are staked at Bosch. open it and you ruin it.

Ultrasonic clean is worth trying for varnish stick. wont fix worn pintle seat, just makes a cleaner dribble.

Cheap test: run on 5 cylinders, loose injector into measured jar for 30 seconds. good M130 injector is about 14ml with even mist. under 11ml or over 17ml is bad.

Chinese diesel tester is about $250 and shows crack pressure, should be 22-26 bar, and spray cone. buy that before buying six injectors.

New / reco sets land near $1,000. if only 1-2 fail, Brisbane rebuild from Connor's thread is $80 each..

I have.Patrick is right.Done the ultrasonic clean on 4 sets so far.It works on stick from sitting but not on worn pintles.The chinese tester from eBay is the kit I have $238 with shipping.westsydneyrestorationsbuilds.on facebook

Patrick, Billy, Viktor - extraordinary thread. Ordering the Chinese tester tonight, will run all 6 through it before deciding whether to buy new or send 1-2 for rebuild. The ultrasonic clean was already on my plan, good to know it's a real first step.

$250 tester saves $750+ versus blind buying. Forum is gold.
