Marcus - welcome.. boonie and Johnny are correct but trying to be kind about it. The wheels in your reference photo are 3-piece polished aluminium - they appear to be a custom or boutique brand (possibly Work or SSR based on the centre cap design). 14" sizing suggests a custom application, possibly built to W108 specification by a wheel restorer on Instagram. They are not steel wheels and they are not refurbishable from a steel base..
If you want a polished-look wheel on a W108, the options are:
- Genuine W108 14" alloys (Fuchs-style) - approximately $480 each refurbished
- Custom 3-piece polished aluminium - $1,100-1,400 each (the wheels in your photo)
- Bunbury/Performance Plus chrome wire wheels - approximately $380 each
What you cannot do is polish a 14" steel wheel to look like the ones in your reference photo. Steel does not take a mirror polish - what you get is a brushed grey. The aluminium centre and polished aluminium lips in your reference are a different metal entirely.
If you want plain factory 14" steel wheels for a W108 (e.g. as donor for a re-finishing job to the OEM matte silver), Kosta_K usually has 8-10 sets on his shelf at Campbelltown. PM him.
