Wrecking W108 250s, located in ACT 2914. Can drop parts to Sydney in the coming weeks if needed. Please CALL or TEXT me if you are interested in parts.

0477 069 ***

Body was a write-off after a stationary impact in 2012, drivetrain and most chrome / interior / glass is sound and available individually.

Top items so far:

* AMERICANA HEAD LIGHTS - $1,600
As new, no damage & re chromed. Full pair, lenses, rings, buckets, adjusters. These are the US-spec quad sealed-beam assemblies, correct for W108 / W109 sedans 1965-1972 to North American spec.

* MB STAR - $200
New replaced part (includes assembly). Bonnet star, factory replacement, with the spring-loaded mount and the bonnet anchor plate.

Also available, prices on request - PM or call:

  • Front bumper, chrome, straight, no dents
  • Rear bumper, chrome, one small repair done to the LH overrider
  • Grille (slim three-pointed star type, correct for 1966)
  • Door handles (4) - chrome, all working
  • Window winders (4)
  • Dashboard (with original VDO clock - clock works)
  • Steering wheel (Bakelite, hairlines in the rim)
  • Seats (front pair, blue MB-Tex, splits at the bolsters)
  • Rear bench (blue MB-Tex, better condition than the fronts)
  • Door cards (4, blue, all four good)
  • Headlining frame (the cloth is gone, the frame is straight)
  • M180 2.5L inline-six (turns by hand, has spark, has not been run since 2011)
  • Auto trans (722.1 or earlier, single-stage type - condition unknown, fluid was clean when drained)
  • Rear axle complete with diff
  • Front struts (pair, original Boge)
  • Rear shocks (pair)
  • Brake calipers (Girling, 4)
  • Wiring loom (complete pull, 99% intact)
  • Boot lid (chrome strip intact)
  • Bonnet (the prop rod is missing but the hinges are fine)
  • 14" alloys x 3 good, 1 with curb damage
  • All four hubcaps (chrome)

Not stripping the car further until I see what the demand is - if there's interest I'll keep pulling, if not I'll take the shell to the scrap yard at the end of March.

Sydney delivery I can arrange for next bigger items (bumpers, dashboard) when I'm heading up in the next few weekends - cost-share the fuel.

Cheers, Scotty.

Scotty welcome.

buyers.. W108 250S Americana headlights are hard to find. Euro H1/H4 was never US type-approved, so North American cars got the quad sealed-beam clusters with park lights. Most were thrown out in the 90s when people converted to Euro.

A straight re-chromed pair at $1,600 is under market. single side in the US W108 boards can be $1,400 US in this condition.

Only matters if your W108 is North American spec or you want the Americana look. Hugo will know the paperwork better.

Scotty ill take the M180 long block once you price it. PM me.. doing a favour for a bloke in Lithuania.

Scotty - Billy is right. Americana lights are also called Quad Round Sealed Beam assemblies. W108 part numbers 108 820 11 56 LH and 108 820 12 56 RH.

North American approval needed twin 5.75-inch sealed beams per side, not the Euro single 7-inch H1/H4 housing. Stuttgart catalogues them under US-specific 108.014. about 8,400 W108 250S units got them from 1965-1968.

$1,600 is cheap. restored pair in the US is $2,400-2,800 US. Australia wont see another straight pair soon.

MB STAR at $200 is fair if factory spring mount and correct anchor plate. aftermarket $80 eBay ones dont lock down proper.

Interested in front grille if its the slim Star & Laurel version for 1966. PM a centre badge photo.

Boonie - 1966 build, build plate August. The VDO clock is correct VDO 6V 1965-67 family. $140 for the clock alone if you want just that. PM me your address and I'll post it.

Hugo - PM coming with grille photos this evening. Pretty sure it's the slim-star variant but I'll get you a close-up.

Billy - the M180 is yours. Need to confirm if you want long block only or long block plus carbs and inlet. Pricing depends on what you take.

Thank you all for the quick replies - this is a much better forum than the FB group I was on.
