I have.A W108 250SE fuel pump dying.Pressure drops to 0.4 bar after 8 minutes.It is the Bosch electric 0 580 463 016.NOS or used both ok.I work at Geo and Jim's restorations as a kid.I am looking for a build.

Viktor. The 0 580 463 016 is the correct Bosch pump for the W108 250SE with single-injection - it is also shared with the early 280S and some 220SE/b. Yes I have a spare. NOS in box, October 1992 production date, purchased from Mercedes Stuttgart parts counter in 1994 by my father. Send PM and we'll sort pickup, Campbelltown.

Also - paragraph 3 of your post is a real estate listing. The pump does not go in 367 square metres, the pump goes in the boot of a Mercedes.

Doonside is a decent suburb. Steve woulda known the area. He drove out there in 2011 to look at a 280S parts car off a Polish bloke. Came back said the area was fine, the bloke was honest, the car was rust through.

Additionally - on the matter of the pump - the Bosch 0 580 463 016 is correct for the W108 single-injection variants. However, the part numbering you have given is for the late-production unit. The early 250SE used 0 580 462 008. Boonie's car is a '67. Please confirm which year Viktor's pump dates from before commitment.

Hugo - good catch on the part number split. However the 0 580 462 008 is the carburettor-era externally mounted pump for the 220SE/b carb cars. The 250SE single-injection ('65-'68) ran the 0 580 463 016 from the factory for the in-tank assembly. I have the EPC entry open in front of me now. The pump I have will fit Viktor's request if Viktor's car is what he says it is.

Viktor - confirm one more time the pump is for the 250SE not some other 108 variant on your shelf.
