I have a client looking for a genuine W198 Gullwing. 1954-1957. Any condition considered including project cars, but the car must be a genuine W198 with matching documentation. No tribute cars, no replicas, no continuation cars.

Reference - 1955 Gullwing

Budget is appropriate to the car. NSW preferred to avoid interstate transport but I will travel for the right car.

Hugo.. there are approximately 14 genuine Gullwings in Australia in 2026. Six in dedicated collections in Vic and NSW. Three in WA. Two in QLD. Three with private owners who have refused to sell across multiple offers..

If your client is serious, the realistic path is the auction circuit (RM Sothebys, Gooding) not a private NSW sale. Be prepared for $4M+ for a numbers-matching driver, $6M+ for a concours car.

If your client is not at those numbers it is not happening in 2026.
