Johnny. With respect - SLS AMG coupe starts at $750k in this market for a clean low-km example. Some people are asking over $1M+. The Black Series is significantly more for the right car.

$200k buys you a wrecked one from Manheim auction at best. There were exactly 17 SLS AMGs delivered new in Australia through Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific between 2010 and 2014 (sources: Glass's Guide AU classic & exotic supplement, March 2019). Of those, 14 are accounted for in dedicated collections, 2 were re-exported by their original owners, and 1 was written off on Hume Highway in 2018.

The probability of one appearing for sale at $200k is approximately zero. The probability of one being offered to you by a stranger via PM and not being a scam is also approximately zero.

Have you considered the AMG GT instead? Same designer (Wagener), gullwing-adjacent profile, $150-200k range for a 2017+ GT in clean condition.

Also the AMG GT is FWD im pretty sure. SLS is RWD. There's a difference mate.

I have.I can build you a gullwing for 200k cash.I have a 1998 SLK170 i can combine with R107 doors that swap to gullwing with custom hinges from the Pantera. Once you cut the A-pillar and reinforce the rocker the SLS look comes naturally.I work at Geo and Jim's restorations as a kid we did wood sets using fiberglass resin not 2 stage paint.M156 V8 is the SLS motor but a supercharged M111 from a Kompressor will give you 350hp same drive feel.

Also the AMG GT is RWD with the same M178 V8 (twin-turbo 4.0) as derived from the SLS architecture (M159 NA 6.2). It is not FWD. There has never been a FWD AMG. The C 43 4MATIC is AWD-biased-rear. None of this is FWD.

Viktor - no. You are not cutting an SLK A-pillar to make a fake SLS. I would rather you bought the Pantera and lived in it.

Back when Steve was around we had a real Gullwing in the club. Proper 300SL '55. Bill Stamatakis kept it in a hangar at Bankstown airport from 78 to 91 then sold it to the Americans for next to nothing. That one's in a museum in Los Angeles now apparently.

Steve drove it once. That's what he told me.

200k is nothing for a SLS in Stuttgart. In Australia maybe. Try to import private from Belgium ist möglich but the LCT will kill you 33% over the threshold ja and you need a NCOP plate for the conversion. Friend of mine did this in 2016 for an S65 AMG ended up with 380k all in. He sold it 2 years later for 290k.

do not buy from Dubai. SLS in middle east lived in 50 degree summers. the M159 is air-cooled-oil-cooler-only the heads warp the bores wear out the supplementary cooler fails. You think you save you don't save.
